Description of subsidiaries

2F Prod : Managed by Flavie Flament, 2F Prod produces entertainment programmes.

Auteurs Associés : Since 1997, Auteurs Associés has developed within audiovisual production an original series of TV movies initiated by scriptwriters, geared to the general public. At its head, Dominique Lancelot and Alexis Lecaye, renowned scriptwriters, apply an author-producer policy towards broadcasters, placing the scenario at the centre of the production process. Dominique Lancelot is the author of many feature films, notably “Interdit d’amour” produced by Catherine Corsini, which won a Fipa award and “Femme de Passion” produced by Bob Swain. Alexis Lecaye is the creator and series director of the series “Julie Lescaut”.

B3 Com : Managed by Benjamin Castaldi and Pierre Antoine Boucly, this company produces entertainment programmes for TF1. Benjamin Castaldi was producer and host for M6, with American Idol (France) and World Champoinship of Laugh.

Carrere Active (ex V.I.P.) : Founded in 1969, Carrere Active, which exploits famous characters and licences, is a subsidiary rights agency. The French leader, it is also well positioned in Europe where it has exploited licences of American majors for 25 years.

Carrere D. A. : Carrere Group Droits Audiovisuels markets its catalogue and those of other companies in and outside the Group internationally. This company produces drama, animation and feature films, such as “Shéhérazade” and “Les Jules” (animation), “L’île aux Mômes” and “Une Famille Formidable” (drama), and “Nid de Guêpes” (feature film).

Cosmic Peanuts : Set up in May 1999, it quickly forged a sound reputation as a producer of children ‘s programmes by collaborating with Disney Channel on “Labo des Blouzes”, “Les Zinefils”, “Les Z’Encyclos” and “La Wouch Zone”. Cosmic Peanuts conceives and develops “Les Contes de Malvent” for France 2, prepares the sitcom “Off Zone” for Disney Channel and also produces documentaries such as “Julie Autour du Monde” for Cuisine TV.

CPI : Managed by Jean-Marc Frantz, Communication et Programme International has produced over 5,000 hours of TV shows for over 300 brands: “Du côté de chez vous” on TF1 with Leroy Merlin, “La Météo” on France 3 with Mr Bricolage, “Question Maison” on France 5 with Leroy Merlin, “Plus jamais comme ça” on France 2 with Expert. “Va y avoir du Sport” on TF1 with Intersport, “Mission Prix” on France 2 with U, etc.

Dassas : Set up in the 80s, Dassas is an advertising and marketing communication agency. “Pas de règles” (No Rules) is a form of agency signature which claims to be seeking freshness, originality and simplicity based on a specific approach: the challenging of all established truths, all dogmas and all conservative attitudes. The agency has many success stories to its credit, including Lesieur olive oil, Ebly wheat, new Mars products, Azzaro and Mugler perfumes, Clarins cosmetics, Algoflash fertilisers, Mutuelle de Seine et Marine insurance, Primagaz gas distribution, Jacquet, the Intermarché department store and Mattel toys. Dassas manages the international features of campaigns in collaboration with agencies belonging to the ICOM network, the no. 1 international independent agency, co-founded by Dassas in 1988. ICOM, which operates in 20 countries and is present in 50 cities in America, generates a turnover of around 2 billion dollars.

Dune : Set up in 1980 by Robert Nador and Eve Vercel who now manages the company, Dune has moved into all audiovisual sectors, successfully initiating ambitious programmes and combining all genres and media. Dramas are its core activity, chalking up successes over the past few years. Dune produced “Maigret” (France 2), “Le Grand Patron” (TF1), “Vérité Oblige” (TF1), “Groupe Flag” (France 2), “Psy d’Urgence” and “Robin des Bois”. The company also produces documentaries such as “Colères de Mer”, “La Fabuleuse Histoire de…” and “Les Maîtres des Jeux”, “Le Queen Mary II”, etc. Dune is the only French company to have co-produced series with Warner Studios. It is active on all French markets and has a large stable of producers and service providers worldwide.

Ego Productions : Managed by Pascale Breugnot, Bernard Bouthier and François Garçon. For years Pascale Breugnot directed TF1 programmes and produced many magazine shows. Ego Production produces series with recurrent heroes, familiar to us all on French channels, such as “Une Famille formidable” and “Le Juge est une Femme”. Ego Productions also produces one-off TV movies such as “Les Ex font la loi” on TF1, “Dans la Gueule du Loup” and “Le Porteur de Cartables” on France 2, “Lune Rousse” on France 3. Ego also produces documentaries such as “Changer son Corps a 18 ans” on TF1, “La Soumission Chimique” on France 2, “Un Château à tout Prix” on Cinquième.

FX : Established in February 1996 by Isabelle Petiot, this company is active mainly in audiovisual post-production. FX’s customer base is divided into the “television” and “institutional” activity sectors. For television for example, FX is involved in the production of children’s programmes for TF1 Jeunesse, editing of programmes for TPS Cinéma or for producers (Réservoir Prod, FCA, IA Prod, Tony Comiti Productions, etc.), themselves supplying programmes for different channels.

GD Productions : Established in July 2001 by Guillaume Durand, this company produces TV shows such as “Campus”, broadcast live every Friday at 22.30 hours on France 2. “Campus, le magazine de l'écrit” has been revamped by merging the old version with “Trafic.Musique”. Above all Campus remains a magazine devoted to writing. It is a broad multicultural journal in which books still take precedence, but which also welcomes to its table cinema, theatre, opera and the arts in general.

GL Pipa : Audiovisual post-production studio specialising in the production of commercials, films, credits, trailers, special effects, trailers, spoilers and clips.

Kaliste : Kaliste produces programmes such as “C’est leur destin” in co-production with DMLS d’Anne Marcassus. The magazine programme “C’est leur destin”, specialising in intimate profiles of people behind the scenes, is hosted by Benjamin Castaldi. Happy or tragic, their stories are exceptional. Famous or anonymous, their lives read like a novel. “C’est leur destin” presents the journeys of these men and women for whom life is anything but ordinary.

Les Armateurs : Set up in 1994 by Didier Brunner, Les Armateurs is indisputably one of the top animation production companies of recent years. Notable successes include “Kirikou et la Sorcière”, “Princes et Princesses”, “L’Enfant qui Voulait être un Ours” and “Triplettes de Belleville”. A pioneer in the animation feature film sector, it demonstrates an astonishing ability to discover new talent. Les Armateurs produce most of their productions in France in partnership with foreign co-producers. In 2005, Les Armateurs produced the feature film, “Kirikou et les Bêtes Sauvages”. Following the success of this first movie, Les Armateurs have started work on a sequel to the highly popular animation film.

Morgane Holding : Managed by Gérard Lacroix, Gérard Pont and Claude Bertrac, Morgane Production is one of the leading producers of TV shows for themed channels. The company produces magazine shows such as “Ca balance à Paris” on Paris Première, “Cultur’elles” on France 3, “En direct de Cannes” on Arte, and “Tout pour la musique” on France 3. Morgane is also one of the leaders in the production of musical shows (Francofolies), live shows (Festival de Rock des vieilles charrues, Printemps de Bourges, Festival Interceltique, Festival d’Avignon), and programmes on the sea and sailing (La Route du Rhum, Jacques Vabre).

Nelka Films : Managed by Nelly Kafsky, who started her career at Telfrance by initiating “Les Cordiers Juge et Flic”, Nelka Films produces movies for television. The company produces TV movies such as “Nos vies Rêvées” (2X100’), ”Le Triporteur de Belleville” (2X100’) for France 2, “Un coin d’azur” (1X90’) for France 3.

O’Productions : Managed by Antoine Henriquet, O’Productions is a subsidiary of Ego Productions, itself a subsidiary of Carrere Group. This company was set up in 2000 and mainly produces entertainment programmes for cable and satellite channels. O’Productions produces programmes such as “Face à Moi” on Teva, “Télopiège” on TF6, “Jetix Quiz” on Jetix (formerly Fox Kids).

PM Holding : Managed by Alain Pancrazi, PM is an audiovisual group which produces TV shows and movies for television. Founded in 1993, the group is known for its prime time dramas such as “Commissaire Moulin” starring Yves Rénier, “Frank Riva” starring Alain Delon, “Le Juge” starring Francis Huster, “Une Villa pour Deux” starring Pierre Arditi and “A Trois c’est mieux” starring Mimi Mathy.

Productions Tony Comiti : Tony Comiti, former Grand Reporter on TF1, founded this press agency which has become one of the main independent suppliers of documentaries and news reporting for French channels. Scripts combine great sensitivity with fast-moving close-up filming of its subjects and high standards of journalistic rigour, with very searching inquiries and investigations. Its documentaries attract the best audience ratings for “Droit de Savoir” on TF1 (64% market share), “Hors Série” on France 3 (26%), “Zone Interdite” (32%) and «Documents de Zone» (26%) on M6.

RIFF : Managed by Vincent Lamy and Alain Taieb, RIFF International Production produces TV shows including «C’est pas Sorcier» on France 3, “Arrêt sur Images” on France 5, “L’œil et la main” on France 5, “Toutes les télés du monde” on Arte, etc.
